The 2009 Five of Clubs Rally Championship will be contested over six events - Charterall, RSAC Scottish Rally, Albar Kames Trophy Rally, Merrick Stages, DA Autoparts Solway Coast Rally and Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally - where the five best scores will be count.

For 2009, the championship will revert back to a class-based structure - i.e. someone in a 1600cc car has as much chance of winning the championship as someone in a 4wd car - and there will be only ONE overall champion, winning a FREE ENTRY for the 2010 Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally. The points structure has been modified from previous years, to try and make allowances for classes which are not as well supported as others.

The 2009 Five of Clubs Rally Championship will be jointly supported by John Gibson & Sons [Blacksmiths & Engineers, Dumfries], Craigiebank Garage [Mouswald], Rosefield Salvage [Metal Recycling, Dumfries] and Franklin Steel [Dumfries].
